Scholarships
|
Our main concern at HapCo Inc. is to keep music and education intertwined as youths seek the means for higher education. We endeavor to accomplish this by offering a scholarship for deserving students that will continue their participation in any college music program. The recipient may major in any area and must participate in a university or college music organization.

Award Level
- Public Institution - $250 - $1,000
- Private Institution - $250 - $1,000
Grade Point Average
3.0 weighted GPA (based on the Traditional Marching Band Scholarship Program (GPA) Weighting System which may be different from your school's weighting system) using the credits and test score listed below.
Required Credits
Courses must be those identified by the State University System and the State Board of Community Colleges as college preparatory courses.
- 4 English (3 with substantial writing)
- 3 Mathematics (Algebra I and above)
- 3 Natural Science (2 with substantial lab)
- 3 Social Science
- 2 Foreign Language (in the same language)
Total 15 Credits
May use up to 4 additional credits from courses in the academic areas listed above and/or AP or IB fine arts courses to raise the GPA. All recipients must be perspective members of any university or collegiate instrumental music organization.

Test Scores
- Best composite score of 970 SAT or 20 ACT
- Subsections of the SAT or ACT from different test dates may be used to meet the test criteria.
- For spring eligibility evaluations, test dates through the end of January will be admissible.
- For summer eligibility evaluation, test dates through the end of June will be admissible.
Other Ways to Qualilfy
- Students who have complete the IB Curriculum with best composite score of 970 SAT or 20 ACT.
- Students who have attended a home education program according to s.232.02(4), F.S., registered with district during grades 11 and 12 and
- have a best complete score of 1070 SAT or 23 ACT.
or
- have a best composite score of 970 SAT or 20 ACT plus documentation of the 15 college-preparatory credits required.
- GED with best composite score of 970 SAT or 20 ACT and a 3.0 weighted GPA in the above 15 required credits.
- Early Admissions with best complete score of 970 SAT or 20 ACT and a 3.0 weighted GPA in curriculum courses completed.
