About HAPCO Music Foundation |
HAPCO Music Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to raise the awareness and benefits associated with music and education, as well as to provide scholarships for deserving student musicians to attend any College or University. In addition, we provide financial assistance for selected students to attend a band camp of their choice. Clinics on musicianship and leadership are held at local high schools to be conducted by student musicians from various university music programs. Thus, affording deserving students exposure to the college experience and the advantages of higher education. HapCO Inc. seeks to educate youth to other vital community issues such as Aids Awareness, Drug Prevention, Tobacco awareness, and other Health related and social challenges.

Description of Need |
The purpose of the HAPCO Music Foundation events is to create awareness of the importance of music in public schools and providing community outreach. More importantly, the events will raise support for the State of Florida high school and college music departments and their students. HAPCO also aims to expose grade level students to a variety of music genre, which they would not be normally.
As budget cuts continue to grow and extracurricular activities are eliminated from public school, we at HAPCO will monitor the survival of Music Departments in the communities we serve to see if our message of their importance would save said programs. Enable leadership music institutions in the cultural community to become more effective at creating and delivering programs to the public. To strengthen the capacity of the state's music departments and arts leaders to make a convincing and compelling case for the public's participation in arts activities and for their financial support.
